3 Vintage SL SKIPPER LOT Barbie Clothing Flower Town Days Fun Dreamtime Accs BIN
Here are 3 very nice Skipper dolls, ready for school or a slumber party, or maybe they're going skating! These dolls have all been gently played with, so they're not for "Mint" collectors, but they still are quite pretty, with silky hair, and they look great in vintage Mattel outfits. They don't have any green staining, nose nips, or neck splits. Their bodies are in Excellent shape with no smokey smells. There's a beautiful copper penny Redhead Titian Straight Leg Skipper, a Light Blonde SL Skipper, and a Brunette SL Skipper. The dolls and some of their original tagged clothing might need a repair/and or cleaning, but overall the clothing is in nice shape. The lot includes an original red swimsuit, Skating Fun, a Flower Girl dress, Silk'n Fancy dress, Dress Coat with its hat & purse, Town Togs is an almost complete outfit (just missing belt), School Days sweater and skirt, Under-pretties slip & panties, 2 clone outfits and homemade pajamas. There are also some shoes & tiny accessories in a vintage tan Skipper case that has a working latch, handle and the 2 interior accessory drawers. The Kaiser doll stands & blue chair are not included in this sale. I will never describe anything as "Mint" unless I've just taken it out of the original package. I have given the dolls a light wipe down, but the dolls will need a "detailed" cleaning, as their arms and legs have residual soil. Some of the clothing might need cleaning and/or repair also. Redhead Titian Straight Leg Skipper: Is a beauty with super shiny copper penny hair! Her thick long hair is in wonderful condition, though her bangs have some dryness. Her face paint looks super nice with no rubs. No green staining anywhere, nose nips or neck splits. Her body is marked Skipper 1963 on her right butt cheek.
Her arms and legs hold all poses, and don't have any chews. She does have red staining at the tops of her thighs, probably from wearing something red for many years. Brunette Straight Leg Skipper: She has a sweet fac e with very nice facial features. She doesn't have any green staining, or nose nips or neck splits. Her long medium brown hair is smooth with no missing plugs.
Her bangs show some dryness, and she has a few fly-away hairs. Her body is marked Skipper 1963 Mattel Inc. On her right butt cheek.Her arms and legs all poses; she doesn't have any chews, but she will need some cleaning, especially on her legs. Blonde Straight Leg Skipper: Has lots of wavy light blonde hair in shiny condition. Her bangs have parted in the middle. I did find an empty plug & 2 thin hair plugs on the back right crown of her head.
You won't notice this unless you look hard, as she has lots of hair overall. Her bottom lip has some wear, and her eyebrows have fading. No green staining, nose nips, or neck splits. She is marked Skipper 1963 Mattel, Inc. Accessories Pic #12: These are all the accessories included: 1 pair red Japan flats, 1 pair HK clone red flats, 1 pair white HK clone flats, & 1 pair black Japan flats. One of the black flats has a small crack at the front of the shoe. The Japan skates have had their blades broken off, and the blades aren't here.There are a several poke marks on the side of 1 boot. Skipper's original swimsuit is clean, looks good, just has relaxing elastic at the waist. Clothing Pics #13 -#15: Dress Coat looks very nice, with a slightly stressed armhole seam, see pic #14. It has all of its buttons & snaps, and a clean coat lining. The original swimsuit has relaxed elastic at the back waist.
Underpretties half slip has stretched waist elastic. Silk'n Fancy dress is nice & clean; it needs steaming and a press on the skirt which is somewhat wrinkly in places. Clothing Pics #16 - #18: Town Togs has a nice coat and jumper, the coat has all of its buttons. The felt is clean and doesn't have any holes. The jumper has a broken zipper at the back, and needs 1 shoulder strap tacked down & the button replaced there.The yellow top needs the collar seam restitched at the front where it's frayed a little. One checked stocking needs a seam repair at the back heel, see pic #18. One black Japan flat has a crack at the front. The hat has some pinkish staining in parts. School Days Sweater & Skirt: The sweater has all of its buttons; it has a sleeve hole & 2 holes at the lower right side above the waist ribbing.
Also a tiny hole at the collar. This could display well if you're a careful mender. The skirt is a bit pilly. It has its snap intact; and it needs better pressing.Pics #19 & #20: Skating Fun jumpsuit doesn't have any runs, and it is clean. It needs a small 3/4 repair at the right side waist seam.
The velvet skirt shows some wear, but it's not bad. The hat is cute with a faded pom. The boots don't have blades & 1 boot has several poke marks on 1 side (can be displayed on the inside).
Dreamtime's robe looks nice with its Cat pocket insignia & nice ribbon ties. Overall very clean, with slight soil on the top of sleeves; sleeve elastic has stretched out. The pajamas are clean, but have slight aging to the white background.Top has all buttons & snaps; bottoms have stretched elastic. Blue felt kitty needs new felt eyes! Clothing Pics #21 & #22: Flower Girl has faint soil, it's missing a ribbon tie at 1 shoulder.
Snaps are intact, no tears. The clone outfits with the cape and shorts are very cute, clean. The pajama outfit on right needs snaps. Tan Skipper Case Pic #23 & #23: This case has light soil on the outside. The graphics on the front look great, and the case has an intact handle & clasp.
Both Skipper accessory drawers are present inside. The outer side hinges have 1/2" tears in the vinyl on 1 side; the other side has a 1" vinyl tear at the bottom, and a 3/4 tear at the top. I have pictured the worst side in pic #23. The inside hinges also have small tears, but the case feels sturdy still, and it will store Skipper and her outfits quite nicely.
