Barbie & Allan Lot Vtg 1961 Bubble Cut Titian Red Hair Wigs Case Clothes
This is a vintage original Barbie "Ponytail" black carrying case by Mattel packed with good stuff! Included is an original red hair Titian Barbie doll (with a bubble cut hairdo & iconic black & white striped swimsuit with white cat-eye sunglasses). The stamp on her rear reads "Barbie pats pending mcmlviii by Mattel Corp".
It indicates the year 1958 which I think is when the body mold was made then this doll came out in 1961? The carrying case/ wardrobe is in good condition with good handle and secure fastener. Inside is a random assortment of accessories and clothing. I have taken several pictures to give you an idea of what's inside. Some items I think are original to the set such as hangers, some pairs of panties, the striped swimsuit and sunglasses, a couple of hair curlers, a brush, hand mirror and Ken doll shirt, jacket (with Ken labels) and blue pants. There is an Allan doll wearing the Ken clothes. I think the other Barbie clothes and Allan shirts were hand made from Barbie clothing patterns.Also included is a set of three wigs and an extra Barbie head (EXCELLENT CONDITION, beautiful face & eyes plus earrings attached). These would be from the vintage BARBIE FASHION QUEEN SET.
The three wig hairdos are still styled very nicely in their original UNTOUCHED styling, but they are stuck on the little forms that they stayed on for so long. You will have to pry them off carefully yourself. There are two dolls (Allan &Barbie) or three if you count the extra fashion queen Barbie doll head. The Barbie and fashion queen head are in very good condition all over, but the Allan has muddied g right agendas fingers and bite mark on the left heel.
