Danbury Mint Ideal Kissy Doll Reproduction In Excellent Condition
This is for the 2006 Danbury Mint reproduction of the original 60s Kissy doll by Ideal. She is in great condition and I did give her a little cleaning when I got her. She is a little smaller than the original, and heavier. She still has the same features as the original and she works well.
Nice pucker and kissing noise. What's interesting is that she has a wig instead of rooted hair. The wig once had glue to secure it but the glue has since broken down with age.
The hair sits perfectly on her head but can be removed if needed. I cleaned the head and refreshed the wig.These dolls also are notorious for having a strange stance, and little kissy is no difference. She will stand on her own, but with a bit of a leg bend.
Her outfit is very nice except one of the tips of the bow on the back has some type of glue on the tip. I also want to point out how well her shoes are made!
They are more leathery than the original kissy dolls thin plastic shoes. She's an overall great doll and a wonderful addition for your kissy doll collection!
