This magnificent doll, as all Byron Lars work is superb in the detailing of the quilted taffeta jacket embellished with silvery tassels , embroidered and beading. An attached faux fur hood dramatically frames the face.
The brown faux suede skirt featured an embossed leopard paw print design and striking magenta silk shantung lining. Bold white faux fur boots, golden armbands, and head piece complete the high fashion ensemble....
Hair and make up are exquisite, typical of this famous fashion designer. She comes with hair ornament, doll stand and of course her certificate of authenticity. This doll is richly drawn from African motifs, but completely defined by fine couture.
She is from my own collection, so I know she has been away from the light, in a pet and smoke free environment and a climate controlled temperature. She is gorgeous, and a great investment, but I need to downsize and leave the new generation to take over.
