Rare Franklin Mint Marilyn FOREVER Porcelain Doll, Stand, Box, COA, with Issues
Pretty much every sample of what Franklin Mint produced was stored there. Some were explicitly market as PQS (Production Quality Sample).
Some where one of a kind items, others Artist proof or. The item you are purchasing may have been handled by the FM employees. The item may vary slightly from the officially released item. From The Franklin Mint Marilyn Collection you will receive this extremely rare 2002 DOTY (Doll of the Year) winner Porcelain Portrait Doll Forever Marilyn.
Comes with all packaging and with original polished wooden base. The doll is approximately 16 in length. The doll comes with original box, base, tag and sealed envelop with paperwork.
I would expect that you will find Certificate of Authenticity (COA) in the sealed envelope, but I can't offer a guarantee. If the winner does want guarantees, please ask me to open the envelope.
To me it looks like new (still has her hairnet) with one major exception. Both of her knees (a couple of inches above and below) were broken, likely due a hit or a fall, and later repaired. Some large broken parts were reattached in the correct places with super glue. Some tinier parts were attached as well. Also, a little bit of soft clay was applied to cover edges and tiny missing spots.
The bottom line - from a distance or when the knees are covered with dress, the doll looks perfect. From the close up, when someone is looking directly - the repairs are obvious.So, if you position it well, you will have an awesome doll for 1/2 the price. See 2nd image as an example. Please remember that these are nearly 25 year old, so there could be some other minor imperfection from storage. And the box have minor signs of wear and small tears.

She is hand painted with an alabaster complexion a delicate smile big blue eyes. She wears a knee length bright red chiffon halter neck dress with pleated shirt. Lined with red chiffon She lays on the ground with her begs bent up.Revealing her high gloss bright red sculptured shoes with replicated black. Leather soles she also wears red satin laced nickers underneath. The doll lays on a hand crafted wooden base velvet lined.
Shippers charge per volume not per weight. Sometimes the fancy dresses on Franklin Mint dolls may have some sparkles get loose or separate during unpacking. Expand your collection, display it proudly or save as investment.
