Vintage Strawberry Shortcake Herself & Huckleberry Pie Big Head Vinyl Doll Lot

This is vintage Strawberry Shortcake c. 1980s, Herself and Huckleberry Pie Vinyl Big Head dolls. They measure about 16 tall. These dolls are in nice, not perfect, condition, but they will display decently as seen in photos. Huck is wearing the original clothes and CUSTOM REPLACEMENT hat. Strawberry is wearing a dress that is slightly smaller than the original (from a rag doll) and a hat (from a Blow Kiss Doll). The hat is different than the original- see photos. Both dolls have been laundered and thoroughly dried in a humidity controlled room. I laundered the clothes and they are clean. Huck's face displays decently, but I noted a couple of discolorations that would not wash off.

One is a small dot on the forehead which covers sufficiently with the hair and greening of his ear (like what happens sometimes with Barbie dolls)- see close up photos. Please note that both of the doll's hair looks exactly as pictured. I do not believe that it has been cut, but it is "shaggy". Often on these dolls the hair is erratic/shaggy lengths. You get exactly what is pictured.

Doll is an, opened/loose vintage toy which has been cleaned and refurbished. There are just no contemporary dolls that compare! I clean them, wash the clothes.

I check for VD spots and try to put each doll back closest to original specs whenever I can. Please expect some amount of wear. With that said, I spend a lot of time cleaning dolls and clothes to put sets back together. I throw out anything that has vinyl deterioration on the faces.

I do not always throw out a body or head that has a contained spot in a hidden area (legs, under the hair, feet). The vinyl deterioration is not contagious and will not spread as long as the dolls are stored properly- ventilated when in high humidity environments or stored with desiccant. I throw out clothes that are really stained or ripped. Each doll may have minor variations, color discolorations, marks or factory production defects that I cannot control.

If the doll is listed then I feel that it is a good loose specimen, appropriate for any collection or for play. Most of the items that I sell are vintage, used and loved- they are RARELY going to be perfect. You may consider something a problem that I have not even considered as a defect.
